Our dryer comes on, spins, and the outside of the dryer feels hot. But the clothes are not drying. You can feel the heat when you open the dryer though. I moved the dryer recently because I was cleaning around it. You think I knocked something loose? Everything looks hooked up in the back, so Is it coming from the inside? And is it fixable? Thanks a bunch!

Check the vent to be sure that it is not kinked, clogged or blocked. Seeing as you moved the dryer and then the problem started, I would bet that you have a kink in the vent tube

Pull the dryer out (or otherwise gain access to the rear (or side if the dryer is vented from the side) and make sure that the vent tube is not kinked. If it looks ok, take it free from the dryer (you may need to unscrew a clamp) and check for blockage in the vent tube!

A blocked vent will cause premature failure of the heating element in an electric dryer, and is also a fire hazard!

Make sure the hose isn't kinked. That is more than likely the problem. The other that could be causing the problem is the blower motor. That is usually in the back. You will have to take the back panel off to check it. Once you find the blower motor plug the dryer back in and turn it on. If it spins it's good, if not it's bad, and yes you can fix this yourself. Just take it out and go to an appliance store. Don't forget to take the model # with you.
