Kwanzaa is just as valid of a holiday as any other holiday. I am not directly African but I do celebrate Kwanzaa. It is simply a time to come together and unite with the fellow man by reflecting upon different virtues. I think it is a good thing and I find it shameful how so many black people are unaware of their own culture's festivities.

It's has the same point as any other celebration. A true African will know the point (as you quote it) of kwanzza. A lot African people are very intelligent. They are aware of Kwanzza in the U.S. But some are brainwashed in Africa and aren't allowed to say certain things, such as Kwanzza. So, is this just another made up pointless question asked by an impersonator?

the holiday was invented by an american phd, maulana karenga in about 1964, for african americans. it has lots of components which are wholesome, etc. symbols, good ideas, creative gifts. the point is no different than any other holiday. to do certain rituals to celebrate.
