I cant help u with the kids part...but there are some great islands, Abacos or Grand Bahama are awesome.
they use to have a Disney cruise to an Island that was exclusive for Disney cruises might be good for the kids

Or do a web search on Bahamas. You could check out Frommer's and Fodor's websites.
The Bahamas consist of several islands, each one with its own character and appeal.
