...to the Senior Citizen forum in a chat room format. Is there any such thing?? Does anyone know who this grinch (troll) is that's stealing our Christmas? I want to wish him/her a Happy Holiday. To the rest of you I say Merry Christmas or whichever your preferences are. This will probably get removed too but if my "Voice" is removed I'll come back as something else.

Yes it can be a real problem for all of us who just want to ask and answer. We are probably the most agreeable of all ages just because of the years we have lived and knowledge we have accumulated. Yet some people will not let this site remain good and wholesome.
It's a real problem.
Merry Christmas.

Well, this question hits me right where I live. I asked a
question last week and got a
VIOLATION EMAIL. Why?
I asked a question and they
said I was CHATTING. How
the H can anyone define a
question as CHATTING.
I have appealed it twice, but
once the decision is made--
there is no further recourse.
Over in ASKVILLE, if anyone appeals a decision,
everyone that answered that
question becomes the authority and gives an opinion
and that ruling is binding.

I don't know what it means either but I wish you a wonderful and happy Christmas. BTW I noticed this time all the thumbs down so, I gave everyone a thumbs up.
To alcoholi, I didn't notice but will check but don't worry, the points or removal won't bother me. I just enjoy hearing from all the seniors and friends of seniors. (I think I'm chatting, sorry)

I was told chatting was anything that was not strictly a question. And adding details and edits is also chatting. Hope this helps. It truly comes down to what the reader interprets them as. =(

I am not sure what constitutes chatting, either, exactly. I have not had an answer deleted for that, yet, but I did have a violation notice on one for 'Solicitation". Good grief. What is that? I added a couple of links, but I certainly didn't solicit anything.

I always try to frame my questions carefully, and my answers the same, so they shouldn't be misconstrued.
Merry Christmas to everybody, troll and all

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too. It doesn't matter what the question or the answer is, it a jerk is trolling ,it will be reported. They don't need a reason.

I heard it means that it is not an answer or a question. That is rather silly. I have never seen a chat room either.

I do hope you have the happiest of the Holiday season and a wonderful 2008.

Hopefully, this will blow over soon.

Peace and Love!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I'm being quick to answer before you get violated. Someone has been chasing my Q's and A's for several days now. Just keep posting. Hopefully they at least one friend or family member still speaking to them and they will take a break over the holidays.

I go to the South African site, they are a lovely bunch there, and say what they like. No one reports etc. But Happy Christmas to you as well, and your family.
