There was a day, no American would doubt dems would cease being patriotic because they didn't have political power. No one would doubt that a democratic President would not lead the way to defend the USA if we were attacked, prior to 1980 or so.

If Gore had stolen the election in 2000 (God knows he tried hard) would anyone believe that Gore would have ordered the military to go after the Taliban in Afghanistan? No, Gore would have talked BIG but at the end of the day he would have deferred to the United Nations.

Most republicans feel socialists and communists have hi-jacked the democratic party. I can only think of a handfull of democrats that could be relied upon to defend the USA if they were in charge. Joe Lieberman is one of those few.

You can say Bush erred going into Iraq or republicans have allowed the religous right to get way too entrenched in their party & I would agree but the cancer of socialism is infested in the democratic party & dems are embracing it.

To all the liberals in denial- you would probably agree that dems follow the message of MLK, moreso than any other political party? You agree? OK, then why have you allowed race baiters like Jackson & Sharpton to pervert Dr King's message of peace, foregiveness and uniting the races? I'll tell you why, it's because you have allowed socialism to corrupt every single selfish interest group linked to liberalism; now your direction has changed and JFK democrats are near extinction.

Not too many of JFK's ilk are around today. Kennedy said, "In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in it's hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibilty--I welcome it!"

He also believed cutting taxes promotes growth, and it does. Our economy reflects this.

He believed in a man's self-reliance and education, with independence of big government.

Not today. The left embraces socialism, and ignores the historical consequences.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

If we were to measure our politics by european standards both the Republicans and Democrats would be "Liberal" parties. Where the Repulicans are what we would call Conservative-Liberal parties and the Democrats are a left leaning Liberal party. Due to the 60s and 70s the line of the democrat party has pushed more into leftism (vs Liberalism) but many Liberals (the good kind) are still in the Democrat party. Whereas the Republican party is bubbling into what the Europeans would call a more conservative political party (look at GWB and Mike Huckabee as examples)

Those days are over when Jimmy Carter was elected to office. The smart ones started to retire in the 1980's and the 1990's. This is the facts of life.

Both parties have lost their way. Tweedledee and Tweedle
dum. The " new " party that stands for principal is the libertarian party. Of course, because it is based on the "old " idea that the Government is controlled by the people, that the King is not the ruler, but. each individual makes up the power of the people , and lastly the Government officers and employee and servants work for each of us. This idea is foreign to us now, but at one time it was the basis for the American Revolution.
Maybe, we need to bring that Revolution back, elect someone who speaks to that problem, who is guided by the Constitution, who not afraid to speak the truth about Freedom .

Jeez, God Forbid!

I can only speak personally, not of politicians. Yes, there is ONE I know, I being a Republican. Her user name is Jaceroo on YA. LOL, she still thinks she's a Liberal! She sends me Christmas cards, knowing how I adore her.
She has my deepest respect, because she stands up for what is right, and always agrees that Bush ain't so dang bad! She's a charm!

Don't worry, it will take a litttle time, but they will all be exposed for what they really are. When the public finally sees it. It'll be over for them. Then and only then will we be able to start healing this nation. They have damn near destroyed it.

Moody hit the nail on the head as well. God bless her.
