Oh trust me. Things have definitely changed. I'm 15 and I see it all first hand everyday. In my high school, I know of at least 6 pregnant girls, 14 cutters, 75 wh*res, 12 cigarette smoker, 20 pot smokers, 100 heavy drinkers and a whole lot of lesbians and gay boys. Lives begin to form once high school rolls around, but it all starts in middle school.
Friends, School, Parents, Teachers, and the Media mold the minds of these 12, 13, and 14 year olds and convince them to get in to drugs, sex, and violence. It's shameful that most of the future movers and shakers of our world are incompetent and easily pressured to do things.

I agree, first off you are stuppost to be 13 to post on this site on the first place and second they are too young to be asking questions like that, or seeing what some people ask on this site for that matter!! I bet some of them are really onder people pretending to be 12 so they can get some much needed attention!!

I feel the same. They are. I am 27 and am worried, that my daughter may soon be posting Q's like this on here!! NOT IF I CAN HELP IT.
I do believe though, as useful as it is, technology plays a great part in this. It used to be conversation, but now kids can use the art of texts to flirt, so much easier!

Yeah, people say things like..."Oh, kids today grow up so much faster." Not really. Kids today have more INFORMATION than they did years ago, but they're still 12 and most of them aren't responsible enough to know what to do with that knowledge.

I agree, now I am also hearing about more 12 year old pregnancies. It scares me, my daughter is 5, is she gonna have a baby at 8? I mean come on! I blame the parents for letting it happen.

I'm only a couple years older than you are and I was shocked to point of almost passing out when my Step-sister (who is now 16 years old!) confided in me that she lost her virginity at the age of 13!!! It is a sad, sad world when parents have allowed their children to have so many secrets that we see things like this! And I thought the Jamie Lynn Spears debacle was bad! I just don't get it anymore, but I will say it makes me frightened to raise my children in this society!
ESPECIALLY when I hear the phrase "The Children are OUR future" if this what my future looks like raising kids, spare me and shoot me now, please?

I agree fully. |Adverts encouraging young girls to look sexy dont exactly help either. I used to teach and noticed over the years that the age of, shall we say, sexual attraction lowered from about 14 with the girls to around 12. I dont know who or what is to blame but merchandise marketing has something to do with it. Watch Nick Junior and every other advert encourages girls to make up or do themselves up to look older. Ridiculous.

When I was 12, I was always hanging out at the mall with my friends. I couldn't date until I was 16.
