If they're asking you on a date maybe they think they can get somewhere with you. Have you led them to believe anything different? People in here can take things very seriously when it comes to meeting people. Always be wary of who you get to know in here. Never meet someone you don't know for awhile. Send messages and such but don't run headlong into meeting them. You never know who they really are.

I'm 64..........if someone older than me did that, I'd tell them they have to pay !
As far as a guy 40 and you being 16, did you encourage it? Report it to your local police NOW. He's a perv if he's really 40.
You can block him so he can't email you.
