Come on. Nobody really thinks some cheap cologne is going to make women insane over a guy. It's just marketing. If that offends you, you're too easily offended. Keep in mind who actually wears Tag. Teenage boys. What I find offensive is the actual product. It reeks.

Just about every commercial is offensive to someone somewhere.
I really hate the phone commercial where the girl asks the guy which he likes and then picks the other. I can't remember who's commercial it is now and that's bad marketing.
I know the tag commercials, and can remember the product, that's better marketing, having a commercial that the consumer remembers, and remembers the product.

Is that the commercial that shows women flocking to some guy because he put on some body spray?
I don't find them offensive. They're just silly and way unrealistic.

I don't have a television but see it in hotel rooms in my travels and, although I am very aware of the unhealthy influences that advertising has on children, I must confess that I just about laugh my butt off at those Tag commercials. I'm not sure why. But, the hyperbole of the male wet dream of being swamped with women, done with the witty humor of those commercials is just too funny, like those lusty Morgan the Pirate commercials. They crack me up.
I had brothers and I keep seeing them in those roles, so I'm able to appreciate how a young man might enjoy those commercials. They are just fun to me, but I am not sophisticated enough to weigh the dangers of such advertising on the adult mind and social consciousness. I deal with the problem of advertising in my own regard by not having a television and by limiting my exposure to all that slimy snake oil mentality. The danger I think would be too much exposure to all the messages. Moderation is the key.

No. But I find the Tag Body Spray itself most offensive to my olfactory system.
I prefer old fashioned Cologne.

not really, b/c they are marketing the product as if to say (hot)women will find you irresitible if you wear it...and what young guy esp. doesnt want that.
some women's perfume avertises that way...like they make it seem as if you wear it then men(usually strapping and "gorgeous" will find you sexy, irresistable, etc.
i personally find it kinda funny when grown men wear that stuff(find a real cologne gentlemen..lol) b/c my 10 yo brother wears that...lol
id say just lighten up a bit...sex sells my dear...i mean how many guys are going to by a cologne that "attracts" little old ladies and "ugly girls?" :)

It is just a clever marketing ploy. I think it is more of a tongue-in-cheek joke, designed to make the product memorable. I don't like Tag myself, it is a big too strong.

I really look at it as consumer psychology. Subliminal messaging with sex really works. It actually attracts people because we WANT to feel good about ourselves. As for offensive...I think it's funny, but it is a VERY stupid concept. Even more unfortunate, people actually buy it.

well they are doing a good job of marketing cuz everyone seems to know about tag now and when you think tag you think of those commercials. it probably is offensive to woman but all commercials are usually offensive to someone. its just a commercial.
