It is like ly true that they accept a limited number of kids. Their fees are outrageous. You have to ask yourself if you are willing to gamble the money on the kid doing something worthwhile. Yes they want your money, they are in business to make money. If your guy is going to learn something while he is there, then maybe it is ok. But it is set up like the many scams we know about that claim their people get a lot of work and say they only take a few and charge a lot of money.
Might be a scam. Traditional agencies do not charge their talent anything.

Don't send any money until you contact the Better Business Bureau. And then investigate some more. I was almost scammed out of $4000, but my husband did some homework and I am so happy. Please be very careful. Do a search online, see if there is a different phone number, then the one on the letter. That's how I found out I was almost scammed.

Sounds dicey to me. Aside from the fact they practically have stolen their name from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Televison, a professional orgnization that only adults can join here in Canada. The Canadian Academy does NOT offer classes.
So, tell me, did your child attend an *audition* for a Hollywood Casting Director, who casts movies and series that star children? Did your child not get *cast* but has been told they have enormous potential and they just need to take this training?
Technically, it's not a scam. Your child will attend horrible over-priced acting classes. There is absolutely no guarantee your child will get work. No one can guarantee that.
That's the money-making scheme they've been pulling on starry-eyed kids and parents up here in Canada.
Yes they want your money.
P.S. Of course you little fellow is adorable...I have never met an ugly child, only ugly adults.....and when I say "ugly", I'm not talking about their looks.

Most likely this is a scam because that is outrageous and agencies hire kids because they think they're already talented. Agents shouldn't ask for money up front all they do is get a percent of the paycheck your kid makes like 15-20% because they had the connections to get them the audition for the job.

It's training with no warrantees.
You won't find much for kids and teens beyond this, but those over 18 can get the same training at a Community College for a fraction of the price.

You should check with the better business bureau, check with the state's attorney office in your state and since this is a supposed talent school check with Columbia College or e-mail someone who has a newspaper bi-line and ask the question of them and see if they have ever heard of it. Check several sources and ask for a list of their alumni.
