My friends and I are planning to have a dinner and would like some opinions of good, inexpensive food around Arcadia, Alhambra, Pasadena, West Covina areas.

Alhambra is FANTASTIC for cheap eats, especially if you like Asian food. There are dozens of eateries on Valley Blvd (from Fremont Ave to the city 's eastern border) where you can have a delicious meal for under $9 per person. On Valley, here's what I'd recommend:

1. Green Papaya (Thai)
2. Boiling Crab (Cajun Seafood)
3. Noodle World (Pan Asian Diner)
4. The Kitchen (Chinese)
5. The Hat (Pastrami)
6. Angelo's (Italian)

And then there's Main Street. Anywhere between Atlantic and Chapen, there's a bunch of restaurants.
1. Crane Sushi
2. Angelena's (soul food)
3. Pho 79 (Vietnamese)
4. Jazmin (Malaysian)
5. Charlie's Trio (Italian)
6. Cuban Bistro

West Covina has a bunch of restaurants off the Barranca exit and also near the Westfield Mall. Mainstream stuff like Hooters, Applebee's, TGI Friday's, Mariposa, BJ's Brewery. But if you go past that, exit Grand Ave and go north. There's a tiny Mongolian BBQ place called Ta Han near the Denny's. For $9.95 per person, dinner is all you can eat. It's one of the best deals ever.

As for Pasadena, there are some good places, but I usually go therefor something more high end.

I don't know Arcadia too well, sorry.

Curry House is very good. It's on the second level, inside the Weller Court Plaza, located on Second Street, between Los Angeles and San Pedro Street. It's in downtown, Los Angeles; Little Tokyo, to be more specific.

It's renowned for the Japanese curry, but it has excellent spaghetti and other dishes as well. You will not be disappointed. The price is very reasonable.
