I also have a 3 week old who is breastfed and is going through a growth spurt . She eats every hour (for the past week) with the exception of at nights (every 3 to 4 hours).
The hourly feeding thing is really very normal for many infants during the growth spurt. It can range from one hour to 3 hours.
Your baby will outgrow this soon.

My daughter's growth spurts were and are the hardest thing. Breastmilk isn't very heavy in their stomachs and breastmilk processes quickly and almost completely so therefore he/she may feel a constant hunger. I'd say he or she will want to eat at least every hour or two. Personally, my daughter wanted to be attached to my breast for up to two hours straight sometimes. I was so worried that she wasn't getting enough milk that we supplimented with formula during growth spurts. Formula is a bit heavier and gives them the feeling of fullness not to mention it allowed me and my nipples to rest haha. Of course that is a personal choice but it did help me.

good luck!

My sis's breastfed twins ate about every 45 mins to every 2 hours when they had their growth spurt around 3-8wks old.

When my daughter went thru this spurt it was about every hour for a few days. I thought I was going to lose my mind in feedings.

It really depends on the baby. My daughter would nurse for 30-40 minutes at a time, with a 20 minute snooze in between feedings. We pretty much just stayed in bed or in a comfy chair on those days.
