Normally, you can only recieve what the voucher allows.If you have some kind of deal with the landlord, you could try, but it could backfire if the landlord decides he/she wants more money. If you need a two bedroom, contact you local Section 8 department, and ask them how to apply for a two bedroom. They will allot you more money for a two bedroom, but you must demonstrate a need for it. Otherwise, your taking from someone else who really needs the two bedroom.

You probably need to do what the voucher says.
You might beable to get the lease written to say 1 bedroom but label the second bedroom as an office or bonus room and get around the "one bedroom" wording.
Getting too creative might be considered fraud though.........

Cost isn't the factor - residency is. If you have a child(ren) they need their own space. If you have a family you can get a larger residence. Good Luck!
