the school has to send out permission slips for your parents to sign. all you have to do is tell your parent that you don't want to watch the video ans they just have to check the "no" box, or don't turn the paper in. simple as that! but the video is not that bad. you don't even have to look at it if you don't want to.

We watched that movie in my school, in 5th grade. I guess all schools do it differently, you know? However, all schools are required to give a permission slip out. The parents have to be aware of what their kids will be watching.

Well, I would recommend you watch it. I mean, watching this video helps/urges girls not to get pregnant. If half of the pregnant teen girls in the country have watched this then there would probably less incidents of teen pregnancy. There probably will be on video together but, just sit with your girl friends. It might be a little awkward to be sitting with guys while they are talking about sex and pregnancy on the movie. The girls movie will probably be about how your period effect when you can get pregnant and the boys will probably about how they ejaculate and can get the girl pregnant.

Don't worry about it, really. It'll probably be better for your future if you watch it. =)

~ All schools do it differently, you might not have to watch two

We watched ' The video ' in 5th grade. They seperated guys and girls. Yeah, they send out permission slips and your parents have to sign it and you have to return it before you watch it. I remember 1 kid from India, his parents didn't let him watch it.

In 6th grade, our school had no health/sex class. They started it for 6th graders only when i started 7th grade. So i missed it, :)

Yeah Im not sure what they do in 8th grade since Im in 7th. My friend is in 8th and she says that you learn ALOT more detaled stuff than the video in 5th grade. She said you actually learn HOW to create babies. ( Even though most 8th graders know by that point in time

I never even knew that there was a 'video ' in 8th grade until my friend told me... I thought you learned the rest in high school. I guess not.. good luck though!

funny thing is, 20 yrs later, I've forgotten the embarassment of the dreaded "video".

Don't sweat it. Pay attention, you need to know this stuff unless you want to be the next "help me im 13 and pregnate" poster.

(fyi, mis-spell was intentional)
