It depends on what you mean by "met" and what you mean by "famous." I had about a half hour conversation with Geraldine Ferraro--the first woman nominated for vice-president by a major party. This was before that time when she was running for Congress. She was quite personable. I spoke with the Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot for about a minute after a concert. I asked him something about a particular song her wrote but never recorded and he explained why he had not recorded it.

I met Tanya Streeter. She's not that famous, but some people know who she is. I chatted with her (this was at a Dive Show, either the London or Birmingham one, I can't remember which)
and asked her about freediving. She was a very nice woman, and gave me a signed poster for free.

I met the presenter of an ex bbc 2 show.
She was nice :)

I have met several famous people but my favorite was Hulk Hogan in Miami. I used to watch him onTV when I was a kid and wished he was my Dad...lol

I stopped to help a guy that was broke down on the side of the road.....it was John Candy.....he was real polite and funny we got him on his way....and like anyone else would be ..He was grateful
