This is a tuff question and many will respond with a no answer. But until one walks in another's shoes, they should NOT in anyway judge. We do take vows for better or worse, if someone had cancer, would you divorce them, no. I was indeed married to a bipolar, alcoholic man for 5 lonnng years. I did my best to make that marriage work and he did NOTHING but cause lots of grief and aggravation with his alcoholic and bipolar episodes. My 4 sons (youngest is his) were exposed to wayyyyy too much nonsense that was unfair to them. Hubby was mentally abusive and accused me of cheating on him while I was earning a living to support tha family because he could NOT keep a job. Finally, I realized I was NOT doing my sons a favor by keeping hubby around and asked him to move out and I had planned to file for a divorce. But hubby was so mental, that he committed suicide shortly after. This was not his first attempt either, he was in ICU for almost a month 9 months prior to. This is a tuff choice YOU have to make for YOU & your family.

I would not! First of all, I believe that you are talking about a physical disability, maybe no more use of their legs??? I would use the disability to my advantage. What better way to show your husband/wife that you love them for everything that they are and will be there no matter what happends!!! Its a great way to find other ways to be intimate with your partner without the sexuality. I believe that certain things happen for a reason... It will be hard, but stick to it! There are things out there for the disabled for work.

OK, it really really is situational.

the label of 'disabled' is so wide spread. I have a disabled son. That doesn't mean he won't some day be able to work, take care of himself or be an active member of society.

I think that you have to make the decision if you are happy? are they happy? Was the person disable before you were married to them? I think that the only reason that would cause me to make the choice to leave is if one of us was in harm if I stayed.

You will most likely have to pay alimony due to the situation. I would talk to a financial adviser on the financial ramifications. But on the other end. Can they really 'survive' without strain if you do? Are there ways you can help the other person by working with their case worker (all 'legally' disabled people have the right to a social worker that assists in their needs). You just need to make it right which ever your decision.

Of course not that's why you said for better or worst richer or poorer but I'd definitely find someone on the side to help me out.

I took the same vows my husband did. I can't except for him to live by them if I wouldn't. I would still love my husband....for better or worse, in sickness and health

No.

I believe in "for better of for worse"

Anyone can make a vow, but it is only the best of us that can keep those vows.

Merry Christmas
