You can poke a hole in the flap and then seal the edges with fray-check or plain glue, and make a little button out of embroidery thread, or even use a baby button if you have one. You can also sew on a tiny snap.

You can also make a small loop at the edge of the flap and sew your button on the bag, or add the loop to the bag and the button to the flap.

I even have bags where I put a bit of ribbon on either end and tie a bow for closing.

You can also go to a fabric store, a leather workers store, shoe repair store or a place where they sell buttons and ask for a magnetic closure that is the right size.

Or go through the old bags in your family and circle of friends and use an old closure.

You can also buy a magnetic snap. The male and female sides attach the same way a brad paper fastener would attach. You can apply it with hard pressure with your fingers.]

You could also attach a loop of elastic and rol it like you would a sleeping bag, wrapping the loop around the pouch.
