poem making help?

Question

I need help writing a poem thats similar to the poems of the Old Ironsides" and "The Tide Rises, The Tide Falls."
In the poem, use the theme, death or the end of an era.
I can't think of how to start it or how to make a nice poem please help

About Wordsworth's poem: The tide rising and falling is pretty much the progression of life. The first stanza is the traveler dying. The dark scenery adds to the effect.
