You see, my theory is that if you choose an offensive team based entirely on contact hitting, the RBIs and runs will come, because if everybody gets base hits, people WILL score runs.

So many choices here, and each could be argued for and against. OK, here's my thoughts:
C - Cochrane is a great choice (Piazza would be OK because of Dodger seasons)
1B - Lou Gehrig
2B - Yes, Hornsby, good choice (since I agree!)
3B - Mike Schmidt (you asked for offense, and I'm thinking HR over double, in the case of Boggs)
SS - Alex Rodriguez (I know, I know, but he's one HR shy of being the all-time leader in this position even though he's been playing 3B for the Yankees for some years now)
OF - Babe Ruth
OF - Henry Aaron
OF - Ted Williams
(on behalf of the OFs, with apologies to Willie Mays)
Good topic for debate!

RD...Good list but I would put Barry Bonds Instead of Reggie.
Piazza has to be in the mix at catcher. Finally I know it's early in his career but Micah Owings is off to a great offensive start, 5-10 years from now he just might be a no brainer at pitcher

You leave out too many players when you only have nine. Use two leagues and there will be a better list. If you are the NO. 1 Met fan where is Mays baby???? and you just can't leave Rose, Gerick or Arron off the list. Just an opinion.
