Because they are hypocrites. When the Communists did it, they condemned it, when they do it its OK. They are racists and want to oppress the Mexicans

The wall in Germany was a wall to separate a country that was once unified, The wall was used to keep people from escaping Communist East Germany in to free West Germany. That entire episode along with many other tactics was a ploy to bring down communism and it worked.

The wall on the border is to keep illegals from coming into this country and taking our services, bringing in crime, evading taxes, driving illegally etc. That is not a wall to keep them in Mexico, it is a wall to keep them out. If they would not break the law, we wouldn't need one. But they are breaking the law, thus we have the problem we have and need a wall.

The freedom is protected in both ways, Building the wall protects this county's well being and sovereignty.
The wall coming down in Germany freed a lot of people from communism.

Do your homework, very poor question

A good point. The answer is simple enough, however. Reagan, a smuch as I disagreed with him on many issues, was a true conservative and a loyal American dedicated to promoting freedom. The neocons who hijacked the Republican party have nothing in common with him.

Since when does freedom mean allowing people to ignore our immigration laws? They are free to apply legally to come here. And we have the absolute right to control our borders. Two separate countries, remember? And we like it that way. Get back to us when Mexico stops 'oppressing' the illegal Guatemalans.

The wall to which President Reagen referred separated a country from itself. It separated the free world from communism.

I'm not an advocate of a border fence, but it was meant to discourage criminal behavior.

Are you referring to the border wall? in case you havent ever checked its like 80% of citizens want the border secure with a fence built. so its not just republicans.

You are talking about freedom, but the issue is about drug runners, human smuggling and the like that is trying to be prevented. Not the same thing.

Reagan wanted a wall torn down so people could get out.

We need a wall to keep freeloaders from coming in.

Easy enough?

The Berlin Wall was meant to keep people in.

The wall on our border will only keep people out.
