On December 18, 2007, it was announced in an article in OK! Magazine that 16 year old Jamie-Lynn was 12 weeks pregnant.
She and her mother spoke to the magazine in an exclusive interview. Nickelodeon, the network that carries Spears' series Zoey 101, issued the following statement shortly after the announcement:
"We respect Jamie-Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
The father is said to be Casey Aldridge, 19 at the time of conception,whom she met through church.Spears stated shortly before Thanksgiving that she had no steady boyfriend. Because Spears was legally still a minor, and the three-year age difference, Aldridge could be charged with statutory rape, but prosecutors may be unlikely to do so.

No, she really is pregnant. Bad news for her boyfriend whose 19 and might face up to 10 years in prison because Jamie is 16 and the age of consent in her state is 17. What a bummer.

I can't believe the publicity this child is getting over the biggest mistake she probably will make, or has made, in her life. Her boyfriend ought to be brought up on charges of child rape.

yes. shes 12 weeks in. actually, in the town she lives in (kentwood) people living there are getting preggers at the age of 13 or 14. so its not a huge surprise. watch the video for more info!!
