The reason why we don't like staying home is because all we will do is watch tv and do our own things and everyone will be pretty much bored staying at home doing nothing. We would spend more quality time going out to restaurants doing fun activities other than staying home 'trying' to spend quality time together. it just wont work out.

Stay home.

Spend quality time with your spouse. Drink egg nog and tell your spouse how much you love them. Do little things for your spouse. Walk in the park.

Forget the restaurant -- too expensive and crowded. Forget the travel -- too many speeders and nuts on the road. Make "family" be you and your spouse. It'll be a Christmas to remember forever.

We came across this idea in 1964 because we were actually totally broke and couldn't afford much. We have done it since. Every once in a while we'll accept an invitation from one of our married children to "come over for Christmas dinner" but they also remember our "stay at home" Christmas times and they have adopted it as their "Family Tradition" also.

Your talking to a meat eater so naturally I say somewhere that has a great steak and shrimp. Perhaps a movie too. A nice drive to look at all the decorations? Whatever you do, I pray you have a very Merry CHRISTmas!

Going to a Chinese restuarant is one of our family traditions, and it is a lot of fun. After that we sometimes go to a movie.

I am taking a last-minute vacation trip I found on lastminute.com. It is pretty cheap.

Yeah, even McDonalds is closed on Christmas. Better go buy a ham and cook it at home.

First you better check to see if any restaurants are open. Few if any are. Then go from there!
