I need base cabinets that can only be 14 inches deep.
I was thinking of buying unfinished wall cabinets (to use as the base cabinets) and then making the 4 inch high platform to put under the cabinets to raise them up.
Just wanted some opinions on this and how would I build the platform to support the cabinets?

If you want to build a proper 4" tall platform, build a frame out of 2x4's (1.75" x 1.5") put in "studs" @ 2' on center, and top it off with 1/2" plywood. That should give exactly 4" off floor. Install your cabinets on top and install your kicker plate on the front. I hope this helps. Just curious why only 14" deep?

we just put two upper cabinets on top of one another in the bath room for a linen closet and it actually worked quite well. They are 12" deep but I'm sure you can order them 14" . Ours took 2 1/2 weeks to get however. I hope this helps!

the base cabnits should have the 4 inch kick back,
