Iraq should be handling their own business. Get American contractors out of there. If they are not held accountable for their misdeeds, they shouldn't be in business. No wonder Iraq makes no political progress. Sounds more like Muslim attitudes are prevalent there concerning rape victims even among the American contractors. Maybe they should not be allowed back in the U.S. either. The attitude of the Bush administration is shameful concerning this..

Chi Guy..you are nothing short of misinformed. The same issues were presented during the Clinton administration and under similar terms...and yet now because we have a Republican in office, you think its a Right-Wing conspiracy.
To be honest, I think it would be awesome if some justice was done in this country, but I appear to be alone. I appear to be the ONLY ONE that sees the ills facing us presently have nothing to do with ONE party, as the lost sheep like Chi Guy seem to indicate. These chicken-littles are part of the problem. A house divided cannot stand!
Sound familiar? If you know where I got it, Kudos, cause you are actually in the Minority.
The problem is that special interest groups have seeped their way into our Elected Officials' Pockets and have been doing so for decades. They got in largely because it was easy. And now they are polluting the entire process.
It pisses me off about what took place with KBR (if you would recall my last post about this by you, wherein my sarcasm was lost in translation). But this WILL NOT properly be addressed for the very same reason Chi Guy and the many like him prevent it from being addressed. As a divided nation, we are too busy pointing the finger at others that we fail to realize there are three pointing back at us. No one here has **** that doesn't stink. And the mudslinging that is going on between us allows the culprits to slip out the back.
You don't believe me? Look at the Financial mess we are in now. A problem that has been brewing since the 90s has finally come to a head and has left a lot of poor people homeless. Sure, they are at fault in this too. But the predatory companies involved are contributing to BOTH parties...and the press time has been very minute relative to the size of the problem. Neither side wants to mention specifics and point their finger at the other, because they know the other side will too...so they have formed an informal truce..they want to keep the specifics quiet.
Its sick. And while people are being raped and forced onto the streets, we have mindless sheep here that want to engage in mud-slinging...only further clouding the issue.
I know, how about we form a political action committee, wherein we as individual citizens stand up to the loss of our country and truly put our partisanships aside to address this issue. Afterall, it may only be a matter of time before its your family that is homeless or your sister, wife, daughter, etc that is raped.

Vegaswoman has been suspended. I am wounded, I really miss her asss.
Oh and by the way sorry Kel but we are talking about President Bush here. I am shocked that you are surprised about anything the man does or get's away with because of the weak American people. American's are weak. They do nothing about George. They do nothing. Why contact your local state reps? I mean really. What is it that you think they will do in all honesty? Stop Bush from doing as he pleases? Have you heard the song "Trouble in America" by Razorlight? Very apt I would say.

ertainly not. These people and corporations should be held responsible for their actions. Are Bush and hissupporters at all aware of just how sick and tired real Americans are of their practice of avoiding any sort of accountability?
This is one more example of the groos hypocrisy of the neoconservatives. They continously rant about "personal responsibility"--until it comes time for they or one of their friends to answer for their actions. Then they want to do anything--including creating a "post facto " legal immunity (as in this case) to avoid accountability.
Enough is enough. Let these companies face the music. If they've done nothing wrong--they've nothing to fear. If they have--they should tae the consequences.

I don't want the Congress to side with Bush on anything. Pelosi and Reid are a disgrace! I guess we'll just have to vote out the Democrats who act like Republicans next election and keep doing it until we get someone who will care about the average person in this country.

Bush wants to undo what his grandfather was accused of doing during WW2, Prescott Bush's bank (union bank of ny) had its assets frozen by the U.S. Governments for helping to finance Hitler's military machine....those who profit from wars, usually support both sides.....George does not want you to do what the government did to his grandfather, George Sr. even suggested forgiving germany ...yeah...lets bury the hatchet...hitler never happened sir.........
If we don't hold some companies liable, then we have no checks and balances in this country.

Absolutely not! This is nothing short of neo-con led corporate protection from ACCOUNTABILITY.
Neo-cons wish to hold everyone else in the world "accountable" while giving corporations:
- bailouts
- immunity
- subsidies (welfare)
So basically, with a Republican president, corporations are never held accountable for bad decisions and/or bad behavior. Neo-cons are hypocrites to the trillionth power.
