I am 22 weeks pregnant and it feels or seems as if he NEVER sleeps EVER, im up most of the night because i am a light sleeper and him kicking wakes me up, he is kicking all night and all day the next day and it just seems he never quits, Is this normal?? or am i just over reacting?

Thank you soo much ahead of time!!!

Happy Holidays!

Im 18 weeks an notice that when i lay on my back the kicking is sronger an more noticable. Try lying right over on your side, like almost on your belly but not quite. This will change babies position an he will not be able to kick so hard!! This def helped me!! Through the day i dont notice kicks as much as im always on go!! Iv 2 toddlers to run after!! But when i sit down an put my hands just below my waistband the kicks start straight away!! At least that way we know the little petals are safe an well!!

In the beginning the fetus's brain neurons are firing nearly constantly, which make the baby jerk and move (this is a good thing!). As time goes by and the brain develops, the jerking and moving will slow down as the pathways have been built and less neurons will be firing. Lots of early ultrasound will show lots of movement from the fetus and by the sixth or seventh month there will be "less" jerly movement.

Try to imagine that your baby is doing really well as his brain is developing, maybe this will make you sleep better (and just think contentedly that it's a good thing you feel him moving around)! Plus babies like movement, it's soothing to them which is too bad for you :^( .

At first my daughter was like that and now that I'm 29 weeks she has like little bursts of kicking fits that's what we call them and then she rolls around for awhile. I know that it's supposed to be comforting that he is active and you should be grateful but I totally understand how sometimes it's like enough already go to sleep. It's perfectly normal it's that it being your second pregnancy you more in tuned into whats going on. It's just something we have to deal with.

Perfectly normal. Sounds like a very healthy baby. A lot of movement is good. Most women, when they get farther along in their pregnancy, find a good nights sleep difficult to achieve. Same thing happened to me both times I was pregnant.

When pregnant your hormones go haywire, I slept over 10 hours with my first pregnancy yet with my second I suffered from extreme insomnia, specially during the later months, try speaking to your doctor for some sleep ideas but I wouldn't be too concerned.

You could be eating ro drinking something that is making him hyper, Watch what you eat/drink before bed. Other than that, he sound like he's going to be an active child.
When I was pregnant with my son he kicked me so hard that I fell to my knee's, it hurt so bad. :)
Congrat and Merry xmas

I think that it is normal, some babies just move more than others during pregnancy, ask your doctor if you are worried..Looks like you have a soccer player growing their!

Sounds like a normal healthy active baby to me but if your concerned speak to your midwife to put your mind at ease.

Some kids are like that. My mother thought I was twins for the longest time, because she couldn't imagine one person aggravating her so much.
