Yes they should and it should be strategically placed. Isn't it interesting you don't hear the normal whining from Mitch McConnell, Tom Baynor, etc. while they are setting records for obstructionism. And the dim whit repubs babble about the dems inability to get anything done, do they really believe that people are that stupid that they can not see what is really going on? Dems need to learn how to hit back hard and stop eating so much crap.

The "liberal" media covers very little real news. Every day it's more stories about Brittany Spears little knocked up republican sister or some other bit of nonsense. The obstructionist Republicans are a national disgrace. We need to clean house and vote out all old members of the GOP.

The only remaining weapon when you're in the minority is the filibuster. It is an important tool, although it should be something that is used as sparingly as possible. I just find it ironic that Republicans are using it so frequently when after just 10 instances of Democrats blocking possible Bush judicial appointees the Republicans tried to override the filibuster rule completely using the "nuclear option". Of course, I shouldn't be shocked by government hypocrisy.

Yeah I bet the Dems are wishing we had done away with the filibuster now that it is used so well against them.
To actually have a filibuster some one must hold the floor. What has occurred is the folding of the Democrats under the threat of a filibuster.
To actually understand the filibuster I suggest you read this----

How can this be called "New Republican Congress"? The Lib's have the majority, but haven't been able to get their heads out and do anything.
That's why congresses' approval rating is in the toilet.

Why should this be praiseworthy? It's obstructionism. Didn't we hear a lot of grousing whenever the Democratic minority in the last Congress tried to obstruct anything?

We currently have a democratic congress, so whatever point you are trying to make is moot.
