There is a guy that I am friends with. We are really nice to each other. he always makes me happy. I have thought of him as a brother...but I guess he thought of me different

I think he thought I liked him because I am really nice and joyful when with him.he used to be really nice to me and would make me laugh a lot.

he got his friends (mine too) to ask me out for him..and I said no (bluntly) because like I said, he is like a brother. his friends started joking and saying "he thinks he can get with you" so I was pissed. I thought he just wanted to be friends to get with me.

I didn't act any different around him (to keep our friendship) he has been not acting like he used to around me..i mean if I go up to him and start talking to him he will be nice.but he never comes to talk to me anymore..its only rarely he will act like he used to...do you think i hurt him?

maybe. he mistook your friendship. have you talked to him about it, expressed your feelings? if not, maybe now is the time to do so and clear the air.

He sounds like he is younger than you, if he is than relationships like those should stay friendly. Anyway I don't think you hurt him, but he may be just a little down after you said no. Besides, he shouldn't have gotten his friends to ask you out for him, I think that turns girls off, or you could have wanted to keep the friendship, so you said no.

Whatever the case may be, overall, and honestly, you may have hurt his feelings a little. But it shouldn't be anything too serious, why don't you try talking to him about why he is acting strangely, and see what he says. If it's a legit reason, then you two are good. =)

i don't want you to take this the wrong way, but i do think that you hurt him. how do i know? because something very similar happened to me. like your friend, i mistook a friendship, but now am close friends with that girl, and have no doubt that if you give him time, he'll come around and become the friend you used to have. good luck!!!

Rejection always hurts, but you had to be honest.
He did 'want ot get with you`, now you're just friends.
You can't have it both ways.
Next time remain truthful, but try to be kinder.

He could be embarrassed. I'd talk to him about it.
