My husband and I took a home dna test kit with our daughter and it came back 99.9% positive that he is her father. It said the chances were one in like 18 million. I was wanting to know if anyone has ever had any postive results that were actually nevgative. I had a one night fling with a friend after learning my husband had been cheating on me for a year but this was approx. 14 to 15 days later than my ultrasounds(3) measured me being. My husband and I patched things up and I know in my heart that he is our daughter's father. She is the identical image to him, same eyes, hair, nose, mouth, body shape and all.

They can be accurate, but unless the company you bought the test from is certified, the results would not hold up in a court of law.

There is potential for error if it came back negative, but not if it came back positive. The reason being that the sample could have been contaminated or even accidentally switched. Congrats. I'm sure your family has been through enough, but if you have ANY lingering doubts, just do another $99 test.
