The Patriots won their Super Bowls in 2001, 2003 and 2004. The first known instance of New England using spygate was nearly 2 years later, at the end of 2006.

Are these the same people who hate due to sheer jealousy or the fact that they love sticking it to the fans, or the ones who love to talk but sly away when asked to back something up?

Dave, did you miss what I said about people who love to talk but cannot back anything up? It's easy to say "they cheated but got caught recently" because nobody can pinpoint a date PRIOR to the one they were caught on. You lack knowledge.

Thanks Johnnie. Must have missed where I put THE END OF 2006. *Sigh*
Haters amaze me.

Roadkill, sports is full of cheating. That's the bottom line. I would only be upset with my RIVALS if they cheated and won their championships. If my team had nothing to do with the playoffs, and/or wasn't even competing AGAINST the team cheating, no I wouldn't care, because that team wasn't good enough to even get a SHOT at a title.

If you've never met one Pat fan before 2001, you did now. Faithful fan since fresh out of Pre-K (1994).

That's amazing Joseph, how you know how many times this question's been asked when:

A) You've answered all but 3 today, and
B) If my team sucks at 14-0, what that would make yours.

The truth is many if not most teams in the NFL cheat in one form or the other. The only reason why Patriots got caught is because Eric Mangini, the ex-patriot twerp, has a grudge against Bill Bellichick so he ratted on him, even though he himself tolerated cheatings when he is benefitting from it. Even if they are caught, it is important to emphasize that Bellichick instigated the spying all by himself and no players took part in any way.

Just do some reseach in cyberspace and you will see many leads on other teams like the Packers whose co-owner hired a cameraman to spy on some teams, and other teams fielding spies to catch signals and other important information on opposing teams.

After just looking at the question i did not bother to read who put what because it sound like the majority are saying the Patriots teams from 2000 to current cheated without hard evidence. Fact is Every team cheats to some degree, Players take illegal substances and don't get caught, its part of being a sports athlete you want to be better than another guy and do what it takes. Its also human behavior. As for the Tuck rule issue. you have to remmeber that is was an NFL rule and the Refs had the final say on it not the Pats, all the Pats did was challenge after that is was in the REfs hands. whether they blew the call or not will always be up in the air. Now at last spygate. Listen you haters I'll say this again like i've said on multiple posts. a Pats cameraman taped film because he was ask or told to do it. But it took place in the first half of the 1st quarter and was taken by league officials and it was NEVER seen by any Patriots coach or team member. All BB did was break a rule. there is a difference between breaking a rule and cheating go look up both words for gods sake.

can you honestly tell me that if it was the Colts that was caught doing the video taping that, you wouldn't be hating on them?

i know, i know the Colts didn't win 4 of the last 7 Super Bowls. i'm trying to give you a rival of your team & a team that has won 12 games in each of the last 5 seasons.

i'm asking YOU, wouldn't you be hating on another team if it was them & not your Patriots?

i'm not a Pats fan, i didn't like them before the spygate or the running up of scores this year. i hate them because of the Colts / Pats rivalry & they stood in the way of my Colts & turned them away several times. it's sad that the team has to pay (hate) for what the coach & his staff did, it's even sadder for the franchise that Kraft didn't do anything to stop it & he did nothing after he was caught to punish the coach.

as for the Pats fans, they suck & deserve the fall out from this. nobody cared about Patriots football prior to 2001. now that they have been winning, die hard fans are climbing out of the wood work & they are belligerent.

EDIT - hey Terry, don't fool yourself. it didn't start w/ the Jets game. it's been going on for years. the NFL took a library of these tapes & notes. this wasn't even the 1st time they were caught.

Patriots cheat or used to, whatever you like. Is there a need for any further explanation? And the first sign of NE cheating happened in 2006, against the Packers. Packers complained, but officials dismissed it.

Oh sorry, does it even matter if they cheated AT THE END of the season or midway? That counter argument is irrelevant. Yeah, I guess teams that cheat at the end of the season are better than those who do it earlier in the season.

You really should look at what you said "the first known instance." That Quote says a whole lot because you don't know if they cheated before the 2006 season to win those Superbowl's. The reason why people hate the patriots is because they got caught doing something bad and illegal by NFL standards and everyone wants to see them lose because it counter effects the bad that they did i.e You do something illegal you have to pay a punishment and for the patriot that would be to lose

If they are that good, why did they cheat. We will never know how good the team is because they are tainted. There is no way to know how events would have unfolded if they had been honest. No championship will be valid for them this year in my eyes. I really hope any other team wins just to maintain the integrity of the NFL. I don't hate any one but this team are know cheaters and there is no getting around it.

The NFL has proven the pats to be cheaters. Its not like one day before the jets game there were like... hey, i have an idea, lets cheat today. They have been cheating for a while, they just got caught recently. Face it guy, your records are tainted and your team cheats. Booo to them.

Well, they were caught cheating and who knows how long they've been doing that. Is it that of a shock people tend to question Patriot's integrity and their superbowl wins? It's common sense, no matter how much Patriot fans try to downplay the incident.

Pure jealousy. Most people cannot stand to see a team do extremely well. It is quite obvious that the Pats do not need to cheat to kick everyone's butt and another Superbowl win is imminent.

They have probably been using it since the beginning. All of their titles are tainted. Why do Pats* fans act like cheating is nothing?
