i broke a lease and i want to know that can i be on a lease with someone else if they are the main applicant ? the place that i broke my lease at hasnt made contact with me or anything and i have made calls to them but never get a call back...havent even recieve nothing in the mail...yes they do know where i am at to send me something.

Breaking a lease isn't a problem if you pay the rent or early termination fees you owe.
If you sign a lease you and the other leaser are both equal there isn't a main leaser and a secondary leaser.

If you and your roommate were on the lease together you might have some credit issues to deal with if your roommate also defaulted on the lease. But if your roommate replaced you with another or continued paying the full rent on their own to continue living there, you have nothing to worry about. Also, if you were only on the application and not on the lease you have nothing to worry about either. If you are unsure, continue to call the property management /owner offering full contact information if you have to leave a message. Then get a copy of your credit report to see if there might be a pending judgment against you from your broken lease.
