I don't think it is. I think that whatever you say has to have some kind of tact behind it. There's a saying that "it's not what you say, but how you say it" and i believe that to be true indeed. A part of me is blunt and honest because i have no problem saying what's on my mind when the time calls for it, but I don't think you're wrong for speaking your mind. I always try to tell it like it T-I-IZ! Why lie and put up a front just to please other people? At the end of the day, the only person you hurt is yourself for not being honest.

Lacking in empathy for others feelings and views. High self opinion. Loves to be brutally honest, but will not stand for anyone to be brutally honest back. Traits I would expect from a self proclaimed bluntly honest person.

saying you are blunt and honest is a way of saying that you think you know everything and you don't realize how insignificant you are. These are the people who seem unaware that they will die someday.
