I know the feeling there we are standing in the kitchen chasing a bean around the tin can, you'd think we'd just leave it there but no no no we have to get it out. Can't let the little bean win ha ha have a star

Waste not, want not - it's also easier to wash the tin out for the re-cycling bin.
What I can't understand is, if you know you won't be eating them all, why not halve them & save one half in the fridge for the next meal? It's times like that when I make use of the take away containers, for saving things in the fridge/freezer.

I like to throw away most of them while their stuck in the can, especially if my mother is watching, so I can watch her flip out. I also throw away perfectly good food just to watch the expression on her face :) ok that's the extent of my evilness

Hmmm, I'm not sure. It sounds a lot like my fixation with getting every minute flake of chicken out of the cream of chicken soup. I'm absolutely compelled to do that.

Post Depression Mother showed you to not waste food...but, once on plate? You get too full or too tired of that taste..so you waste anyway!

I use a spoon to get them all out, and I do eat them all, they cost money to throw them away.

I'm assuming it's because you don't want to waste it, and maybe one day you will eat them all, then it will have been worth it :)
