I am trying to find out which WMA to mp3/audio converter is best any suggestions? I have looked a few am not impressed. One issue I have is that if I have a cd of various artist saved as WMA (with correct artist listed on each file) and convert it the artists in the mp3 files all show up as “various artists” not the original artists save in the WMA.

So two questions:

1. which is best
2. which converts the most details

If your on XP or 2000 (Not Vista) I would recommend that you not use Tunebites as it can be very effective re-encoding protected WMA tracks from such places as Napster etc... into unprotected tracks.

This is very illegal. Don't do it. Don't buy this program if you think you may have the inclination to use it in a manner that may not be legal.

This is the URL to the program http://tunebite.com/

BTW the various artists and stuff like that are probably ID3 tags improperly tagged. That happens alot when you download off of P2P or Newsgroups. Napster does a much better job tagging the songs properly, but of course if you have Napster then you don't even need a program to convert the files since your paying a monthly fee. And you can't legally unprotect the music documents since that would be a violation.

Wish I had a better answer for you.
