She tryed to disconnect it, But they told her they coulden't
disconnect her cuz she for got her pass word (she's 72).
She hasen't had a land line for 6 Mos, But they still keep billing her account. I'm in kansas and she's in texas.
Is there anyway I can help her threw an 800 number?
She's on a fixed income and can't afford to pay for a service
that's not being provided.

P.S. I need the 800 no. for A.O.L.
Thanks in advance, And pardon the grammer.

I think they might just be taking advantage of the elderly.

1-888-265-8008 to Cancel AOL

Get all your grandma's information birthrate, address, credit card she used for purchase etc..

Tell them that you are your grandma. So your Elenore or whatever her name is.

They will try and ask you why your leaving then give you tons of reasons why you should stay.

Here is a good excuse: I would love to continue to use AOL, but I stole alot of music and part of the court settlement is I can't use a computer for the next 3 years. If you can talk the RIAA into dropping the suit then I might be able to sign up for AOL sooner, otherwise cancle me now and I'll catch up with you in 3 years hopefully.

Their #:1-800-506-2563 I don't think they're taking advantage of the elderly, they've been known to rip off everybody. I believe that this has all the makings of a class action suit. Theu have a newsgroup too, which I'm sure, has a lot more info than I have.

First of all AOL = 1-888-865-3680

Second of all, have her call her credit card company and tell them to stop payment on anything AOL charges. Cancell the credit card if you have to. AOL has a habbit of not letting people cancel and continues to charge them afterwords. If you stop paying the worst they can do is disconnect service, which is want you want them to do in the first place.
