you may have tripped a ground fault sensor. Is there a red/black reset button on your outlet?

You may also have tripped a breaker and which only those outlets were one.

Check to see if you have a GFI plug in the kitchen. Today's code requires all kitchen outlets be wired in series through a GFI plug-which acts as a mini circuit breaker. If this is the case, push the reset button in the middle of the plug itself. This should re-energize all the plugs.

Fortunately, lighting and power circuits are wired separately.

Check the fuse or breaker panel. [and GFCI outlets; the ones with the red and black buttons, maybe it cleared there]

If you don't see a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, call an electrician.

(Sometimes breakers are tripped and don't appear to be; turn them on and off again you might find one that didn't feel the same as the rest, that would be it) hopefully the panel is labeled well so you won't have to reset all your clocks.

Outlets in kitchens and bathrooms must be ground-fault (GFI)protected. Somewhere in the house you have tripped the GFI. It will be the same size as a regular outlet but square with two buttons between the plugs. One of the buttons will be popped out. Press it in until you hear it click. The other outlets should come back on then. You may have more than one GFI so it the first one you find doesn't do it, look for others.

They are on a different circuit. Either flip the breaker or check the fuses.
If a breaker is jumped, then it won't be pushed quite all the way over as the others are. Push it to off and then quickly to the on position.
If you have fuses, the burnt out one will look different in the center - not clear.

You blew a breaker (or a fuse). The different circuits are wired from different breakers, so that's why the lights work. Find your breaker box and see if one is not all the way in the "on" position. Then turn it off and turn it on again. fixed.

you either tripped the GFCI or the breaker/fuse is tripped, along the counter top you should have a weird looking plug with two little button on it push the "reset" button, you should hear a "click" sound, if you dont hear the click sound then it's the breaker/fuse
