I guess if you use comic book to big screen transfer franchises as a yard stick:
Superman.
Batman.
Spiderman.

there are ALOT of famous comic book heros, but if u mean the ones in movies, than it's Spider-man. the spiderman movies each have world records for the most people watching it, so spiderman must be the most popular comic book hero in movies.

Superman is probably the most well known but Spiderman is the coolest.
Superman may have gotten his powers through kryptonite (if i'm correct) but Spiderman had his DNA changed by a super spider!
Spiderman is by far the coolest :P
However, if you were to do quick fire questions then the first that would spring to mind would be Superman. :)

Of all time - I'd have to say superman. Just think of all the movie, comic series, TV shows, cartoons, spin offs...
great question!
Another good one would be where did the idea of the "Arch Nemesis" start in comics? who was the first...
