The average NHL salary is 1.878 million this year, which ranks 3rd among the major 4 team sports (the NFL is well down the list, the $80 million is used to pay 64 players, or 1.25MM a year should be the average (the NFL claims 1.18MM))

I think $100,000 is the minimum salary for rookies if that is of any use to you.

it depends a really good player can make 6 million or more while the worst make around under 1 million but its usually around 2.5 or 3 million
