How can they possibly have done anything, since they have been on vacation and giving themselves raises the whole time they have been in office!

My guess would be they threatened to "out" the Republicans if they didn't drop all the earmarks
In 2000 there was a record breaking 3000 Earmarks the most in 230 years.
In 2006 there was slightly over 75,000

By doing something the Republicans hate: reqquiring accountability. Specifically, one of the rules the Democrats put in requires tthat the Congressperson adding an earmark be identified. So they can't pull this without people knnowing who is responsible.

I don't know what you heard--I heard there were 9000 earmarks in the bill that was just signed.
But if that it half---including 1 million for a WOODSTOCK Cultural center for Hillary.
I'm betting they just doubled the amount of money the put into each EARMARK.

Where is the LIBERAL press on this issue. It's first time it has been heard. Thanks for question. Earmarks by either side pervert approbation process. The last congress was so corrupt it will be generations before all the dirt is known.

They didn't cut out the earmarks, they just attached them to other bills.
Wake up. Democraps don't cut spending. But, then again, neither do these new Republicans.
