I work at a hospital and I recently bought a lot of scrubs. I recently found out I'm pregnant. I don't want to go get new srubs, since I plan on losing the weight after pregnancy. Is it possible to go to taylor and instead of taking in the clothes, but taking out?? I think it's possible. .But I'm not sure. I just need it mostly adjusted in the front. Any ideas?

You can only take it out by how much fabric is in the seams.

If you work at a hospital they probably have a scrub machine (for the OR/LD staff...) talk to housekeeping or whoever fills the machines and ask if you can get access to that or just ask for a few sets of scrubs in a larger size.

I work at a hospital and housekeeping is pretty generous with the scrubs.

Is there no way you can return to the store for maternity scrubs? That would be the best way. If not, you could ask a friend who sews to add some matching stretch fabric to the side seams in a kind of tall triangle, so you'll have extra room. Alterations shops will do this, but check how much they'll charge.
If this is your first baby, you won't gain the size quite as soon as you think. You may be able to wear them at least to almost the half way point, then save them for after the baby's borm.
Another option is to see if there's someone around you can swap with (maybe someone who just had a baby where you work?)
Congratulations on your baby

yes, you can have a tailor alter them that way. but it depends on how much fabric was left for the seams. most clothing is 1/2" seams, so you may only ha the much to work with. If you have matching fabric, you may have to add fabric. so for a pregnant belly you might not be able to. My sister in law is a nurse and i think she had to buy new shirts in the final stages of her pregnancy. her pants were fine.

go to a a tailor and find out.
