"Good King Wenceslas" because my daughter sung it at church for her school concert in her last year at middle school and I've never been so proud she sang it beautifully, I was fit to burst lol

You got my favorites already! I can't hear Silent Night without thinking of the Christmas truce. I live in snowy Vermont, so "In the Bleak Midwinter" is a reminder of home. I also have a soft spot for "Once in Royal David's City" because my son sang the boy soprano solo one year, long ago.
Thinking of the Christmas truce, my brother has a brass box that was given to all the British troops by Queen Mary that Christmas of 1914. They were originally filled with chocolates or cigarettes.

Funnily enough Joan but my two favourites are the ones you mention. I have always loved the 'Bleak Midwinter', I can't tell you why just that I love the words and tune and it has always moved me. Secondly I love 'Silent Night' because it conjures up pictures of baby Jesus in the manger and a very quiet, still ,star filled sky.

Once in Royal David's City because it reminds me of my childhood and singing it at the nativity play in Sunday school.

Hark the Herald Angels Sing, it reminds me of my mother who would warble gaily all the way through totally out of tune.
