Yes. Chickens are great at keeping the bugs down around a person's property. They lay eggs. They also can be hypnotized...which is kind of fun.

Chickens are disgusting, filthy animals that crap all over the place, are mean, and act weird. Plus they have 'large talons'.
However, their meat is delicious, which is why I have no problem with them being raised for food!

Yes, we have a number of them.
We have them to control the bug population, to watch--they are funny--and for the eggs.
We love to eat chiken but we don't kill any of ours.
