It was something like Mr. Holland's Opus with the guy that was in JAWS.

The International Movie Database recommends Stand and Deliver, The Emperors Club, The Virgin Suicides, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Basketball Diaries, Rushmore and Mona Lisa Smile.
But a lot of it depends on what aspects of the film you liked.
If you like Robin Williams I would definitely recommend seeing Goodwill Hunting, if you haven't already seen it.
If it's the poetic tone of the movie you like try watching Big Fish.
If you're looking for another coming of age film there's American Beauty.
If you enjoyed being inspired Hollands Opus or Pay it Forward are well worth watching.
Other movies I'd recommend are A Beautiful Mind and Finding Forrester.

Someone once said that "Scent of a Woman" has a sub-plot in it which comes off like leftover material from Dead Poets Society. And I think that the comparison makes a good deal of sense.

There is one exactly alike which is called The Dead Poet's Society.
There is one that is similar called The History Boys.
There are many movies that are NOTHING like.

That movie was really good! but it was sad! did you know that that main character, the boy that kills himself, he is also in the T.V. show House!
but yeah that was a good movie! theres none like it!
