With Music files there are many different formats.... ie. MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG Just to name a few... The most common are MP3, AAC, WAV.

most CD players/stereo will not play CDs with these files.

It is more than likley the file format of the Music files that you are burning are one of the above mentioned formats.

And if thats the case then you need to Use a program that will convert the files and burn the files to the CD Preferably with minimum fuss.

If you are using the CD Burning software built into windows it does not do that.

I can Personaly recomend 2 programs that will do the job with ease.
"NERO Burning ROM", Or "Roxio Easy Media Creator" its up to you which one you choose im pretty sure Nero Has a free version which you could use.

There are also quite a few Completly free programs out there that will do it too, just google "MUSIC CD BURNING SOFTWARE"

Hope this helps

To play your CDs on a stereo player they need to be burnt in WAV. format although some of the newer players can now read the MP3 format.

Also the CDs should be burnt with a program that burns audio discs that creates the correct lead-in and closing tracks.

I've burned some that work in my car cd player but not in my home stereo. Try other players to test it.
