Yes an no. It depends on how precious your time is. If your the president of a large company then, yes I could see how this isnt productive, but if sit around and smoke pot all day while playing madden at your friends house, then no, yahoo answers is not gay. Make sense?

It can be. You can choose not to answer these if you think it a waste of time. But still, sometimes people really want to get to know what the answer to the question is. I myself only go on this once a month. I find nothing better to do than sit at this computer and type. If you do, and you want to do it, go.

It depends on the question...if you answer a question that may help other people it's very good and it's not wasting time but sometimes you can answer to the questions just for fun.
Sometimes an answer can solve your problem and that's the good thing about Y!A.

It's true one could be doing other things. The same goes for watching TV listening music..playing video games. There are always other things a person could be doing. If we are here it is because we have chosen to do this.

I think it is a valuable resource when needed, and can be informative, however, some people do make it a waste of time when they ask really stupid things and answer in stupid ways, they have too much time on their hands.

Yes, But is has its own pleasures. Do you really finish an answer in five seconds - if so how?

Actually, it's a time filler for me. I have plenty of things I can be doing, and I do them all without fail. I would never allow this to take the place of anything important.

It probably is, but it works.
But we shouldn't suggest such a thing. Answers could be the only thing that keeps some people holding on to just one more day... Think about it.
