Reindeer have been domesticated and the herds have been working with humans for centuries. Caribou have not been domesticated but the herds have been hunted by humans. It would be possible to domestcate caribou but it will take time to do it.

Because they don't like ppl to call them Caribou , Reindeer sounds so much better to them...JK.. They are the same animal, there is no difference except maybe the time they have lived in the wild, But that is on an individual basis

Being the same species means that they could produce viable offspring when mated, but they aren't exactly the same. Their environments are very different and this will have caused an evolutionary change in DNA and behavior.

they are very different ,Reindeer are small and grey
Caribou are big brownish with a white bottom
