a no contest divorce is good when you aren't contesting any issues. Be sure though to include phrases that exempt you from future liability. (Like that mortgage you're not on -- state that you have no interest in the property etc, and that you will be exempt -- because sometimes an ex can come back and say you owe me because you lived there without paying rent)

Depends on the state and the laws there. If you can do this with just paperwork between you and all is cut and dried, lose the lawyers (save $$) and go for it.
BTW, did you two go for counseling before filing? Just a thought.

Keep in mind, in addition to above:
It is my understanding that every courthouse has a self-help center that will help you with the paper work.
This will save you money. I even used them when my wife had an attorney.

try to decide together before you go to court or the judge wioll decide how to split things up
