How have the ice storms in the Midwest affected mail travel?

A package was sent to me by ground mail from Idaho to Tennessee and still hasn't arrived. It was mailed Dec. 7th.

The fact that it is Monday or Friday affects my mail delivery. This is a very busy time of the year for the post office and everything slows down. I'm sure if air travel was canceled, that didn't help any.
