I get made fun of because I'm jewish, what should I do?

Really sorry you're having to go through this.

I went to a mixed faith school and I also got bullied just because I was Jewish.

Unfortunately, there will always be racists in this world, and so we, along with blacks and asians and various other groups have to learn how to deal with these stupid people.

There are a few things you can do:

1) if you are being bullied very badly, or if the 'fun' is actually getting you down, you MUST speak with your parents and/or a teacher, assuming this is happening at school. You do NOT have to put up with being bullied.

2) If you feel you can deal with it yourself, then work out a few responses you can use to shut these people up.

For example: 'well, Jesus was Jewish, so when you insult me, you insult him.'

If they don't know anything about the Christian faith, they may argue with this, but it is fact.

I think learning more about the Jewish faith will cheer you up a bit, as you will see that we have survived DESPITE people who try to put us down and worse.

There are lots of good books, try 'This Is My G-d' by Herman Wouk.

There are many wonderful Jewish joke books out there too, and some of them have some really witty jokes and one liners that can be used against racists.

Remember that the Jewish culture is wonderful. Jews have contributed so much to the world: be proud to be Jewish!

Be proud of who you are and what you believe! Try to educate people about your faith. Together we can stamp out ignorance!

though I'm not Jewish I think it is a very beautful faith! Stay strong in your faith and follow your soul along your path. everyone has their own path and it is right for them.

forgive them for they know not what they do. Hold your head up and don't let anyone so small minded get in your head or your heart. I'm truly sorry you've been treated this way. Went back to check on this and saw the thumbs down. Guess the first line shows I'm not above showing my ignorance. In no way meant to offend.

Explain to these people the difference of your beliefs. Tell them that Hanukkah is not even close to your most sacred holiday. It is only ignorance that make people like that. If they choose not to learn, pity them for their inability to grow.

Don't be mean in return, simply don't associate with them.
