You have to be able to keep the romance alive. That means quality time alone over dinner and casual surprises. next is devotion and trust. Then being able to meet in the middle in terms of finance and arguments. And also the ability to make each other healthier and stronger.

You have to really "like" who you are with. When we don our "relationship goggles" we tend to stop seeing our mate as a really, cool, fun, witty, and attractive person and dump all of our unrealistic and goofy expectations on them and how they should "be". Love screws a lot of people up, so just remember to really "like" them.
