I never thought the invasion of Iraq was a good idea from the start. I can not feel good about any money that was spent as a result.

I hate having my tax dollars fund killing.
-It would be nice if US citizens had free health-care as well, if we're going to hand it out.
-Don't get the no-bid contracts when we're suppose to be uber capitalistic.
-Don't see why we need a super duper embassy.
-Don't see why oil is so expensive, if we were there to "stabilize" Iraq.
-I hate the War on Drugs and it's obviously a joke, since it doesn't work. Don't see what's Democratic about it, thought it was a Republican morality play.
-I would have liked to see my tax dollars spent on providing the elderly, children and the poor with heat, so they don't freeze; and provide food stamps so they can eat. Even though I'm not a Christian, I was taught to help those in need.

Baloney. There was never a "war on terror" and even the Bush Administration was instructed to stop using this phraseology with the press. There was only an all-out onslaught on civilians in a sovereign nation which never did a thing to us. Completely had NOTHING to do with terrorism. "War on prosperity?" WHAT PROSPERITY? Oh, you mean the economic hellhole Bush left us? You know, you can keep bleating that crap about President Obama all day long, till the cows come home. Educated people who are well-read and up-to-date know better. You guys just like the sound of your own voice, apparently.

I fully agree with building an embassy. That's the diplomatic relations the democrats tried to block us from having in with Iraq.
I disagree with the fact that we didn't blitzkrieg the place. Had we done that, we'd be out by now.
We wouldn't need contracts at all if we had enough soldiers to support military operations.

Considering the fact that the Middle East is so unstable, so vulnerable and so mislead by terrible leaders taking advantage of their people... One thing the American people do always preach about is helping others.
I'm not aghast at this type of question coming from a staunch liberal half as much as I'm shocked that in other interactions and delivering of your opinion and stance on helping others... That you "selectively" choose "who" needs help the most.
Well, I guess I'm not really shocked - I'm continually enlightened at how the democrat party operates.

This is just absurd.
GOP-er: Spending the tax money on Iraqi's before your own neighbor is fine to you? Amazing.

Yes, of course ... Bush looted Iraq, and then looted the federal reserve
it's not a mystery, they just spin it with fear, and somehow convince people its for their own good

Yes. It is better to waste your money over there than have it used for liberal purposes over here.
