Both are nice but usually with roast beef, (but what do you mean by baked?? Roasted?? if so then) baked potatoes are appropriate.

baked with skins! yum! or try this....my people ADORE this: boil the spuds in their skins mash them then add a little bit of real butter, crushed rock/sea salt, and crushed black peppercorns, and the piece da resistance add some extra virgin olive oil and mash some more while still very hot... you can also add some VERY finely chopped garlic abt 1 or 2 cloves if fancy something a bit different....trust me,try it!!
